Yes, another kook buying new boards before he can surf. Doesn't bother me. Just a bobber to paddle around. I wish the board was a lot smaller. I would pick it up on craigslist in a few months.

I appreciate all the comments but got to finally take the new board out yesterday in some 2-3ft CLEAN conditions. The board is NOT TOO BIG for me at least. In fact it is perfect for where Im at. Paddled out great, duck diving it was very easy, catching waves was good too. I was able to turn it easily and even was able to pump some speed out of it. Again, maybe more experienced surfers at 6'0 225 could go alot smaller, but for me at this point it is not a bobber at all. I think my size 12 feet help to cover a lot of board area too! LOL. I guess my point here is, the advice and input is all good, but none of it is bible... go what works for you at your level and have fun!

I have a 2 month old 5'5" Puddle Jumper that I've finally gotten to ride with some consistency over the course of the last 4 days.

    One Word: MAGIC !!
