Anyone have the original Lost Rocket? Kind of a throwback board but found one cheap used & wonder if they really live up to the hype?

Would be awesome if so - thanks!

I used to have one and I loved it until it snapped it half. It was a fun board for those waist to shoulder high days. Would pick up speed instantly. I got about 2 seasons out of it, but after it snapped I opted for custom boards and have never looked back.

I know custom is best but that takes the fun out of the hunt, I'm a girl shopping is what I do best! Also I have 3 already so I don't NEED a new board but if they live up to the hype I might scoop it up

I had one...loved it. Low entry rocker, wider nose template, healthy amount of tail kick. If I could pick one up today...I would...such a great board! If its in your size I would go for it. May take some getting used to if you are not used to the tail kick...but so much fun once you dial in your foot placement...

You live 3 hours inland, moron. Even a ripple here is better than where you live.
Are you an idiot, or what?? No wonder your wife dumped you....she was right to do so.
    jus opinion, of course......

Get one! Super fun! I had one, but now it is two. I have a v2 stub which is a fine tuned rocket that is even better and one of my all time favorite boards. Also a take off the rocket, and even better than the stub, is the short round, which I love! I highly recommend all three in reverse order. I'm riding my original rocket in the pic on my profile page.

Anyone can order a custom, but should they? Not neccessarily. Shapers usually know what's best, not the riders. I'd rather ride something that's been proven to work through r&d, than roll $700 dice on a potential dud.

Live4T, Can you elaborate on this?

I recently picked up a local shapers copy of a V3. Had it out for a couple of surfs and I feel like I can't dial in the foot placement.... some waves I took off on and blasted off, but most felt boggy.

I'm guessing I need to keep my weight as far back as possible. Waves weren't anything to write home about, but it did feel like the board 'came alive' at times, and I figured this was when my stance was optimal.

how do you like that stringerless construction? I have a pocket cd on order with the HD foam stringer for a small wave board. no carbon rails tho...

I also had the V2 stub and loved it (my review)...but, once again, this is a model you have to get just the right size for optimum performance. Mine was a couple inches too big. Don't go over the Guild Factor max recommendation and you should be fine.
