Disclaimer: I just pop in and leave my 2 cents here and there.

I am in no way tied to the forum.

Just thought some people might need a little kick in the pants.

    For what it's worth.

Used to be a "lurker". Now that I've become an official member and SI forum junkie my life has taken a turn for the better… without a doubt. These threads are what it's all about. I use the term junkie lightly. I check everyday but have a long way to go to become one of the greats like some of the others.. RIP Metard

I have to say this forum is an enormous time suck much like a black hole. All I am looking for is a bump on the graph and can't look away from surfers posting meaningless poof. At least it keeps me off of porn for a while. Now back to work.....try..to get...to..work...argh...help...the mailman is packing the box with shackles as I type...just wanna surf...warm water bowls..

Thanks for letting me vent, at least this board is good for something, right?

The threads are definitely comical and can be informing when it has too… sitting here at work myself after a 5 am waves check. Can't wait to get out in the water when I'm out. The whole coast is firing off this week. Hopefully time in the water keeps you off porn. Surf vids are more entertaining honestly!

This forum is a nice break from my mindless job function. It's helping delay institutionalisation.

Nice thread Bubonic, get some fresh / new threads / posts in here, it's been stale for quite a while. Same old jokes being recycled for a couple years now, some longer. I dig the SI humor / vocab but I think it's time to let some jokes go I believe.

Some of the best threads have been the ones where we actually talk surfing technique and related topics. We usually get a few pages deep before it starts to dwindle into sh*t show. Which can be fun for a minute, but after a while it just seems every thread turns into the same ole same ole.

I know, some think how much can one actually talk about surfing. I personally can read / talk about technique all day long. It doesn't get old to me, because I know I can always get better. No matter how good someone gets, there is always room for improvement. Most of the lessons learned are in the water, but I have picked up some nuggets along the way by talking to others who may be more experienced or have figured out something that I have yet to figure out.

Just my .02, I love this forum, it's the ONLY website on the internet that I post on. I don't do Facekook, Twatter, Instagay, or any of those, just the SI Forum. So let's all keep this place fun, fresh, interesting, informative and lastly, entertaining.

They're funny from time to time if placed correctly, but like anything in this world... too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Moderation is key. It loses it's effectiveness when it's in every other post. Jokes have a shelf life is all i'm saying. Feel me?
