Im going to DR next week and was looking to surf macao beach. I was wondering if anyone has surfed there and how the waves are, and if theres any "standout" breaks
I surfed there a couple of times last October. I got fun small waves. About 2 footers. There's Macao Surf Camp right on the beach and those guys do lessons and rent boards. They're super friendly as I did not have transportation from my hotel, Rafael who's owns the shop, came and picked me up and got me a board on the cheap. I didn't see any "standout" breaks but I thought it was definitely worth the effort. Good luck.
was there a year ago, small closeouts. Not too much going on there. And the board rental selection absolutly sucks! Hope you score better than i did.
