Magicseaweed for oc not corrosponding with Swellinfo

    magicseaweed's data isn't fully incorporating the hurricane winds, so there data is certainly going to be an undercall.

    Swellinfo is clearly the best......use it and the weather channel for winds

    agreed you guys are on point i just thought it was weird. I watched that video of bertha on weather.com and the path is pretty far off from the east coast so i kind of feel like a head high swell might be unlikely. Also becuase by the time it gets up around bermuda and north it begins to die down cuz of the colder water.

    take magicseaweed with a grain of salt, it's based out of England and most of the buoys they use are outdated. i usually just use that as a backup resource... you need to check out the detailed forecast and the spectral to get a solid idea of what the swell is and if it's a combo with another swell.
