Hi. I've been reading this forum for a little while and didn't know if there was any Maine surfers out there? Thanks a lot
You better plug that eye of yours up before I send my sisters ken doll over to skull rape your plastic ass
Yes they are. Where are you located. The best spots are north of Bangor and south of Kittery, and there is a river wave along the Saco. Other than that the sharks are crazy and the pubes are long. Go Maine. PM me for the sacred map of spots, and convince me youre not a douche or gonna give me beer if I run into you.
Dude you should really have labeled this 'hello thread' , right??? Welcome to swellinfo.com, the premier wave forecasting website in the continental US.
Cool . I am in the York county area and sort new to surfing (1-2 years) and just curious to see where guys go and if my board should be upgraded?
Btw, I don't surf in Maine, sorry. Heard the waves arnt that good/big up there- I pretty much stick to Belmar, NJ- the best break on the east coast. Hope Maine is treating you well! Post some pics of the points! #eastcoastpipeline #belmar
Ya sorry about the (not saying hello thread) . Ya I heard new jersey had some nice waves . And yes I have a short board and a long board but both are old
HA beat me to it! Andy McDermott shapes out of Blackpoint surf shop, which is a legit non-touristy shop. Sashi shapes 5star in NH. All the shops in NH are cool (Cinnys for selection, Summer Sessions for harder-to-find quality brands, Pioneers for Lost, price point in general, and keeping it real with a small rental fleet). Aquaholics in Kennebunk seems a bit boutiquey to me but they've got some stick in there, not a huge inventory. And Liquid Dreams has a store on 1 just north of Oguncuit that has a good board inventory. Their York store is not a destination board purchasing place. Its tiny. Never been to ME surfers union in Portland. Also there is a shop up in Bucksport about 1hr from any break. Classic shop. Worth the drive on a flat day. I believe I spotted this rappppist van on my way back from the Carolinas. Check my album for the van photo. Is that the one?
Chuck Taylor, The infamous Yankee hating, Jimmy Vegas and all things southern hating, latex dummy thrashing, gnome loving, wooden board riding, nothing to do with the cool high tops dude, lives up in your neck of the woods. He'll help you...
I'm an aspiring Maine-er who'll make the change hopefully sooner rather than later. Not a better state in the Union.
Yes my shorter board is pretty beat up but the longer one (about ten feet) is old but in great shape it was givin to me by my uncle who bought it new in the sixtys probably out dated ?
