Glod to hear you're ok metard. The power outage is the worst. the sun is always blazing for 3 days after the storm...those cold showers kinda feel good after sweating your arse off all day

Glad to hear you got your power restored and your family is OK. Same with you NICA and thanks for the photos you guys sent. Get a claim filed asap, get a certified public insurance adjuster with a good track record to go to bat for you with the insurance blood suckers. It's a waiting game and the insurance company will offer you squat because they think you are desperate. Get a professional to represent you for a contingency of what you get back. You will get lots more for all kinds of damage you may not know is covered. Good luck and stay sane! It's a process.

Very good info. The insurance game you have to play is a bitch, don't wait.

Ouch! Glad yer okay. The clean-up is one giant pain in the ass. I know. At least it's not winter with temps well below freezing. I know this too.

    Hey everyone, I'm alive!

Just got the internets back at my office. Damn it's been a wild ride!

House is nice and dry. Yard is a mess. 2 BIG trees down but no property damage aside from fences. Feeling lucky af about that

Driving back into town was like being in another country crossed with mad max. It was every man for himself on the highways into town.

Down in Dominical CR after the rains the pig farms would flow into the river and out into the line up. Great waves but the worst water I've ever been in, like a gurgling toilet. We'd gargle with high proof rum lol

Take care 'Tard. If family is safe, that's the most important thing.
I was thinking earlier today after watching more coverage on the flooding in NC and SC, how we in VB would have held up had Flo's course taken it our way and lingered over us. Although I've faced other types of stress, not sure how well I would've held up under such conditions. I guess one doesn't really know until it actually happens. I'm glad our kids are grown.

Not sure where you're located, but be careful and stay safe. If the water is raunchy, it might be best to stay out. I know youngsters think they're impervious, but what's in much of those flood waters on their way to the ocean is nothing to mess with. Listerine won't be much use should you inadvertently gulp down any of that fermenting farmland effluvium (barnyard sh1t) or get it in a cut.
