Man Buns - Is there a Samurai Invasion that I was not informed of?

I have a fade and have had one for years. I had longer hair when I was younger, down to about my chin. I tried growing it back out when I first met my wife but I couldn't get past the akward stage before I had enough and shaved it off again.

My wife cuts my hair these days and she says long hair doesn't look good on guys, thinks it's feminine, so I'm stuck with the fade it seems. I have asked her what other hair cuts she likes and she doesn't. Happy wife = happy c0ck, so I don't think I'll be growing it out anytime soon. Man buns are 100% out of the question, so queer looking.
