Anyone go to UH Manoa? How often do you get to surf and how accessible is West Shore and North Shore?
One of my professors went there for grad school. He was from vb and he said it wa really easy to surf. When he wasn't in class or valeting at a hotel for cash he was surfing. It's definitely doable if you have access to a car and some cash
west side and north shore are about 45 min to an hour away a little more in heavy traffic, plus town has a ton of surf right there, have fun!
Ya winter has done and gone. There may be some straggler nw's but its pretty much waitin on the Souths now. Which you'll wanna be in town for those.
