I just recently switched to this major from Business. I took business for two years and I am sick of it. Its very repetitive and not that interesting. I am wondering if anyone on here has majored in Marine and Environmental Bio. If so is it hard? and do you get good paying jobs? Thanks
hey. I have a undergrad degree in environmental science and a graduate degree in climatology. So, these are comparable sciences to what you are diving into. Most likely if you stick with the undergrad degree then you will get a job more on the technical side of things, such as doing lab studies, testing, and writing reports. If you decide you are really into your studies, you may want to go on for a graduate degree. This will lead you to doing more research oriented jobs. I wouldnt say there are a ton of jobs, where you can find work in any city, but if you aren't extremely picky of where you want to live then you wont have a problem finding a job. A lot of the environmental jobs are within the government (NOAA) and the academic world. With that being said, those jobs are generally not the highest paying jobs, but there are lots of other benefits with being an employee of the government/academics (such as benefits, security, and less pressure than that of the private industry).
