You would think people would use common sense... LMFAO!!!! Seriously, though, these guys set up right in front of were people were surfing and swimming. 200 yards down the beach, no surfers or swimmers...
That's about as deep as it was when I saw the little sand shark. Did you see the 10 ft lemon shark caught on IOP Friday? http://www.postandcourier.com/artic...r-hauls-in-10-foot-shark-on-the-isle-of-palms
Interesting how there seems to be multiple attacks in the same areas- I just looked at 2010- there where multiple attacks in Maui - that state part- and also at the Air Force place in Cali... Thanks for the post Tard!
That's a nice one ...had a blacktip hooked like that off c2 buoy when I was a kid fought it for long time brought it to surface once...never boated it though...wonder where he was by the pic looks maybe up your way on north tip? Or south tip by breach? Walked Sullivan's yesterday several surf fishing on sour side and they weren't targeting spot or Croaker dude swung his pole around and had half a fish about foot long hanging off his hook for bait ..he was going for a shark I'd say...
Someone told me the lemon shark was caught off of 25th. Would make sense, because the guy said he also surfs that spot.
I think they cast at these crowded/tourist spots because they want to make sure there is an audience when they do end up reeling in a shark back on the beach. Thats just my perception though
That makes sense. No regard for safety of those in the water though. Next time you see some idiot chumming from the jetty - push them in, see how their balls shrivel
Yeah, but they can't sensationalize rips cuz they don't have big scary teeth like sharks do. Oh, and those eyes. "Another thing about a shark is it has got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes..." Wonder how many died in car wrecks driving to/from the beach in that same time frame.
Nah only Belmar closes. We're tougher than that in the south. Oak Island beaches are open as usual today.
