What about a Local Mid-Atlantic Classified Section as a "sticky" for private non-commercial surfing related items 4 Sale or Wanted ? I've seen it work on other forums over just listing each item as a Thread. Maybe some members or others at the swap meet might chime in on the idea? The downside it might create more work for you to delete items for posters.
We appreciate the suggestion. For the fist year or so of Swellinfo there was a separate local classified forum, but it really wasn't getting very much attention and people were just posting in the regular forum. So, we closed that down and directed people to just post in the regular local forum. A lot of people have told me they have had success selling stuff in the forum, so we won't make any changes in the near future, BUT will keep the possibility open for down the line for sure.
