Idk man, I don't put too much stock in a sparring session where he was training for Diaz and and was trying to learn from a good boxer and get that type of movement down. He wasn't going in there to beat the guy up, that's my opinion. That's also from last Summer and he's a fast learner, and has gotten a lot better each fight. Now that he's been training nothing but boxing the last year or so he will have grown a lot. He no longer has to worry about the take down, the head kick, the leg kick, the submission, he'll be laser focused. Don't trust that video is what I'm saying. He wasn't going 100% and wasn't trying to KO the guy for real. Big difference when it's for real and you're not in learning mode and are in kill mode. Mindset makes all the difference.

Manny Pacquiao would smash McGregor and punches hard as hell and that didn't bother Floyd. Conner is going to be wearing boxing gloves, won't matter. Although Floyd is a woman beating tax cheating dirt bag. I'd love to see an upset, but we won't.

 

McGregor is going to make more money on this than he has in his entire career. I'd take a dive in the first and go out clubbing afterwards.

 

Like I said Floyd should win, no doubt, but doesn't mean he will. This is uncharted territory, that's why we have to watch.

I don't know.. I take the word of the professional boxer that sparred with him and helped him train for a fight.
He did give him respect and said there are guys he could beat. Just not anyone we've ever heard of.

 

Yeah. But if they make it last a bit then there's a reason for a rematch and make double.

 

Then there's that. The press conferences are painful, I hope they don't do any during the rematch. Bunch of morons yelling at each other.

 

Fair enough, but he's also not going to concede that a guy from MMA could beat a pro boxer such as Floyd, it goes against his programming. Not saying he's wrong, but he's obviously bias. If Conner uncorked on him it would be different i'm sure.

 

Maybe CMG will cut off the ring, head butt Money during an early clinch, bloody his eyebrow, and change the whole script.

id say if it was an mma cage match where u can do the submissions and all the other little gay grappling stuff they do conor would definitely win.

but boxing I don't think so.ur going up against someone who is 42-0 lol.just look at some of his opponents,they would fuk conor up on their weakest day.

so I don't think there should be a wager on who would win,but what round hes going to fall out.

I'm not really a fan of either,i think ufc is gay and boxing is pretty boring unless its some old Tyson footage.

Go check out some of the breakdown about it on bloodyelbow.com. Someone posted the stats from Mayweather's fights against Pacman, Canelo,Marquez,Hatton,Cotto,Marquez,etc. IIRC none of them connected at more than 20%.

I'm a huge McG fan and would saw off a leg to see him knock that pos head clean off but I don't see it happening.

That being said, if May gets cocky and McG connects... The guy hits like a truck.

 

This is a stupid fight for multiple reasons.

1. If mayweather wins, its because CMG isn't a boxer
2. If mayweather loses its because he's old. Excuses
3. UFC and Dana white ruined mma. Its all about a show now. I was a big fan of mma when pride/dream was around. There were and are fighters MUCH better than CMG. But UFC is what's popular and what everyone watches. Dana white is just making money by promoting who is popular. A fight like this 10 or 15 years ago would of been allot more interesting and evenly matched. But not enough people were on the UFC bandwagon then to make out happen.
4. At the end of the day its two diffrent sports. Period. I'd put my money on it being a boring fight no matter the outcome. These guys won't goo out there and brawl. There both fighting someone from a diffrent sport and are fling to be cautious/strategic.
5. All the trash talk is fake. At least on the UFC side of things. Dana tells he's guys to talk trash to help hype up fights. This is why CMG is his golden boy. He's good at talking trash. But it's fake. I guarantee he knows Floyd has him beat and respects the hell out of him. Hence my cautious/strategic comment above.

All that said, i dislike maywheather and would like to see him get KOd
