I know this should probably just be added to the Aguadilla post or the many other PR threads, but this is a specific question in which I realized may be the most important. I am currently moving to Aguadilla have a house and everything figured out besides transportation. I google mapped the drive/walk from my house to Wildo and Surfers Beach and as a result I got an 8 minute drive and a 1hr walk! I really dont mind an hour walk but it will get old fast! So far I have no means of transportation and little money. Am I just worrying too much? Should I just go down there and figure it out there? or should I be more prepared? I was thinking maybe just buying a bicycle or mo-ped type means of transportation, but not too sure how that will fair with the hilly/windy roads (not to mention the PR drivers). Any advice will help. Thanks guys! Cheers!
If you gotta rent a car get something that looks like a peice of crap spread trash on the floor and dash . Leave the doors unocked and windows down. Less chance of getting robbed that way while you surfing
riding a bicycle on that road into Wildo or up the hill returning from Surfers with a board would be, uh, quite interesting. I'd look for a some kind of cheap motocross type bike with a surfboard carrier.
If your planning on living there get one of these: http://www.gasbike.net/bicycle-motors-2-stroke.html As far as I know-here in the US you don't need to register or insure one of these since its basically a bike. Its still going to be pretty funny watching you come up out of wildos lol a dirt bike would be best.
yeah.. in PR you're definitely going to need something with a motor, preferably a car. you don't really need anything fancy just something that will get you up steep hills and through dirt roads
