So i got the upper ass aids on my right side. Going to get a little wordy here but it's been really bothering me.

So as some of you know i do yoga pretty often. My back, hips, legs get pretty tight. This upper ass area is a spot i always stretch. About 3 maybe even 4 weeks ago i went for a random surf and it was bothering me. This was a Saturday. On Monday and the rest of the week i had this terrible pain right in the center of my back. Felt like a muscle thing but BAD. It was right on my spine and would freeze my whole body up in pain if i moved a certain way. It was painful to get out of bed. I stretched a bunch (only the spot that ws bothering me) and it dissipated. The upper ass aids wasn't an issue this whole time. I don't think. So not much waves, didn't surf. Last weekend when Mr. B came down we surfed. The upper ass aids was hurting. Same pain i had weeks prior during the sesh before the whole middle back pain. I stretched it out some, but honestly not alot. Busy schedule. So thinking there would be waves today i stretched it more last night. It's not getting better.

During normal day to day stuff it's not bad. But if i plant my foot and turn it really hurts. For example, stomping on those fins to come up off the bottom hard. Or i got attacked by a swarm of wasps at work the other day.... while running and navigating hazards on a roof to escape it HURT.

Im not a go to the doctor type of guy. Especially for somthing like this. But it's been awhile and hasn't gotten better at all. My gut says keep stretching. I havnt stretched except for the day before a planned surf... so only a handful of times. But when Mr.B was here he mentioned how when he had his issue with his hips, he actually thought he was pulling a groin. Which is what's driving me to ask you guys for advice. Anyone ever deal with this sort of thing? Was it fixed with some stretching or was it somthing more serious? Even with my lack of stretching, I'm starting to think there might be somthing going on. Never had a "just stretch it out" pain last this long without any improvement.

Please, help me fix my upper ass aids

Lol You stole my thunder and self diagnosed yourself with the upper ass aids! Hahaha

Ok but seriously, if it’s been going on for a long time with no improvement through stretching / yoga, then you really should go get it checked out. What if your spine has an issue or something serious? You could end up a cripple for not addressing it earlier.

    Don’t get spinal cord aids.

Sounds like you pulled something. Since it hasn't improved in a month, have it checked out so you can get on the mend. Good luck.

Sounds like your just getting old... pull a muscle and it takes months to heal!

If it's your lower back, it could take a long long time to heal and get right. All the stretching could actually be making it worse and not letting it heal correctly, you gotta take it easy. If it feels tight try a heating pad instead of stretching

If it's your back and not actually your butt, back problems can be a constant problem, you gotta let it heal well and not re injure it. I have found the taking it easy but still being active is helpful. Some light core workouts help when it is healed. Also I have found that body posture helps along with orthotics in your shoes to help stand correctly with your back. They sell ones by Sole on amazon for 50 that you can make yourself in your oven

Posture, stretching, and HEALING time are your cure Brother. You’ve tweeked the flexor muscles that control and stabilize your whole upper glute, periformis and hamstring muscles on that side. It feels like back issue because that’s where all the nerves combine/get close. Up through that sciactic channel. You need to heal at night because your slamming around all day, so get into a routine of heating that area BEFORE your stretch - cold muscles/stiff muscles don’t stretch, they tear. Then do a slow hyperextension stretch over the back of a couch, facing down. So you really roll out your lower back. Then from that, do lower back/upper glute stretches you can find online - the periformis ones being key. Trust me on this. After youve finished your stretches, relax for about 10minutes and then ice the area. Also try sleeping with a pillow under your knees/lower hamstrings. Takes rotational pressure off your hip cradle. Do this for a week steadily and you’ll see Improvement. If not, then a chiropractic adjustment for a slipped/bulging disc in L4,L5 or S1 is what youll find. All that is hard earned knowledge through pain - believe me lol.

Your getting old Bruh’. Hahaha... get healing before CR dude!!!!

This reminds me. I did injure my lower back years ago. Hence why i get tight alot and stretch alot. This is slightly lower. It's straight up ass check and even comes around a bit to my upper outer thigh.

I do alot of light core work to which does in turn keep the back problems at bay.

Since i have stretched, but not like i usually do, im wondering if i should stretch regularly instead of just before a sesh. But on the other hand im thinking since it hasn't gotten better maybe i should hold off on stretching. Last night was the first time i put a heating pad on it. Going to keep that up

Agree with the others - your getting old (welcome to the club). True story - i am 46. Sometimes when i surf a longer winter sesh i will go to wipe my backside and my ab/side muscles tense up so badly that i can't finish the job. Hurts like a mofo. Gotta do the shower rinse technique

Caveat - it could also be a AIDs flare up!

Everyone's calling me old. I should of never started this thread haha.

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely feeling the difference from when i was a young buck and now. But still.... I'm 28. I want to pretend I'm young still for a little while longer.

You’re not old, you just need to let your body rest sometimes.

My Friend, I started feeling the “groin pull” at 32...
And that turned out to be needing two titanium hips at 40 lol. So keep that mental attitude and keep in shape and you’ll last just fine

Why, if they can make titanium hip replacements, can't they also make titanium cocque replacements? Asking for a friend.

I think it’s got something to do with gravity: like when those African ladies hang things off their ears that are heavy? And they eventually start dropping and streeeeeeetching out the ear? Something like that

Ding ding ding!!! Just got an idea for a two pound weight and elastic bands... talk soon
