I watched the videos. He is not the best on tour. Kelly, John John and even Parko are better. That is all I'm arguing. I'm not saying he can't surf. They are have a better rail game and are better barrel riders. Also, most people on tour have bigger balls than Medina. He charges the smaller waves at Pipe and Fiji, while others put it all on the line. That is all I'm saying. Maybe I worded it wrong. I'm just saying he isn't the best in the world. Many others on tour are better but he is a good surfer.

Please see my last post. I'm just saying that there are a lot of better surfers on tour with a better rail game and barrel game. He's on tour. Of course he can surf, lol! There are just better surfers. The best surfer doesn't always win the event either. It's not like baseball, judges score them and they don't always get it right.

No worries, again wasn't directed at you or anybody in particular for that matter. I just see people dogging Medina all the time and I think it's funny because most people who sh*t on him are no where near his level. That's all i'm saying. Now if we're comparing him to other pros, I agree, Slater, JJF, and Parko are "better", but that's just an opinion. Judges are also just another opinion. And you know what they say about opinions. They're just like assholes, everybody's got one, and they all stink.

I agree on the barrel side, but his rail game is way better than he gets credit for.

I hate medina, mostly because of his claims, and how he claims. And the fact that he's pretty predictable. But all that aside. Forget comparing style or skill. Let's compare pros to pros. Every pro on tour voted yes. Including the guy who actually lived the shark attack and the guy in the water with him at that moment. Who paddled towards him to help. So yea, I'm not saying it's easy to surf a shaky place. Just saying everyone else voted yes. There's a major difference in thought process between him and every other pro on tour

I agree... His claims are annoying and he really does just come off as a douche. But when an American/Aussie claims it's passion. When a Brazilian claims he's a punk.
Another Brazzo voted no also. I bet others may have voted no if they felt nobody would know how they voted.

I agree, but most care about that tough guy or fearless persona that pro surfers are expected to have. If it were anonymous you can bet more would vote no. Not all, but more than just the Brazzos. Apparently those guys don't care what anybody thinks, so they said F it, and voted no anyways.

I would have zero problems surfing JBay. Millions have surfed there for decades with little to no issues.

However, I would vote "no" on Teahupoo.

I think I would paddle out if I was with a group, but that's one place I wouldn't go in alone, no f'ing way. I paddle out alone all day errr day here in CFL when it's still dark out but if I saw a GW in the water I would tuck my tail between my legs and haul ass. The impression I get of J Bay is that if you watch the water long enough you're going to see one, or many, every day. Maybe that's not true, but that's the way it's advertised lol

Yeah, I would agree on that. Shipstern as well. They just don't seem to offer a good reward/risk ration.
