ehh...lucked into a nice big, long wave, but he didn't surf it as aggressively as tanner was. Maybe if he wouldn't have claimed it, they woulda given him a couple more tenths, but I basically agree with the judges. doesn't matter anyhow because medina didn't do much after that wave and tanner got a decent little banger before the buzzer...tanner still would've won.
Just watched a couple of minutes--most are surfing like retarded pups. Did not see Slater though. Waves suck also, imho.
I was thrown in with the local kid for sure, I agree that Tanner crushed his waves maybe only one of his waves under scored, but not by much. Medina's wave a good wave and I can see where they say he really just milked it and put nothing into it like his opponent. Very Subjective, but I can go with that call on second look of the ride/wave. But that wave was perfect for so far in the day. and so many turns, you just would have thought most surfers would have got the score a that wave and ride. What do you think Barry?
