http://www.bintangsurfcharters.com (boat homepage) Does anyone want to do a trip to the mentawai islands from April 13 to 24? Looking to get 3 more commitments so we can sail. I've done this trip on this boat before and it was hands down the best trip of my life. We get a few bucks off for being repeat customers so ignore pricing and PM me for details. All-in costs including flights from the east coast will run you right around $4500 I'd strongly prefer that you: -are not a brazil-nut -will not drop in on me and cause me to die on the reef -are not a douche in general (it's a big boat but I don't want to spend 12 days with somebody i hate) -are not roy or wayne Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to answer them for you. Also, I guess this is my hello tread.
I suppose I should mention that it works out perfectly so you only need to take 2 weeks off of work. Leave Saturday April 11, and you're back by Sunday morning April 26.
Good luck man. We tried to pull together a group last year for Kandui and it fell apart b/c guys could not "see the light"! How many on the boat total? Are you actually on the boat for 12 days or does it include travel time?
The boat can sleep up to 13 but only need 8 to sail. It's 12 actual days on the boat. There's a day+ on either end for flights and travel to make the total 15 days.
I have been looking at something similiar for July/august... near miss looks like I'll be going alone also..... but I can't do april
Bummer, good luck with your trip. I'd highly recommend the bintang. The owner can be a bit tricky to get to respond to emails but it's one of the nicer boats out there and you can score a good price.
im going to nica in july.most affordable for me I found, anybody want to come feel free, its cheap.mentawis is for another life when im rich.not in this life
you too. And thanks. I was looking at the same type of boat for the Maldives. $1700 (inc meals) for the boat for 14 days. Airfare 1400 - 1700.
It's 11 full days of surfing. How does no one want to do this? You are guaranteed to score, pretty uncrowded warm, indonesia tubes.
True, and it's Nicaragua's not a bad option, I've done it before. I think what you gain in wave quality and knowing that there will be waves makes it worth it though
https://www.facebook.com/LasPalmasSurfLodge https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4476488 Hit us up if you want an affordable place, shared kitchen, 30 second walk off the beach. 5 minute walk down to santana. 25 min walk to popoyo. Can also hook it up with meals, guide, boat trips too. Nica waves is a sweet option too. Closer to popoyo 15 min walk but they aren't on the beach.
