Can you please make photo albums functional in our profiles? I managed to create one called magic2, but I can't put anything in it. I select it when uploading but the pics post to the main surf photo section. I tried on pc as well as ios. Having albums was the best/easiest way to post pics to a thread, because they had an address that you could simply embed. All of the photos that I recently posted were not intended to be amid the main surf photos. I lost count of how many times I've asked you about this since the "upgrade", and you continue to ignore me. Please acknowledge. Thank you.
Doug, you don't have to make images public... if you don't want the world to be able to view them in the gallery. Instead, you can create a surf crew (with or without users in them) and share your photos only with the crew. Putting images into a album, is just a way to organize, although, the organization isn't yet properly setup on the user profile/gallery page. Its easy to get a url for any image. Just right click on the image -> copy image URL.
So if I make it visable to my surf crew, not public, I can then use the link to embed it in a thread, then everyone will be able to see it, and it won't appear in the main surf photo section?
Well, users in your crew (if you have any) will be able to view in the gallery, but the rest of the statement is true.
ios doesn't allow me to post any photo at all. Everything is there, but the add button just quick clicks and doesn't add it. pc does,I selected surf crew only, but it appeared in the main surf photo section. Maybe only I see it there? does anyone else see this pic in the main surf photo section?
BTW - the link next to "Images:" ...the one with a number under Join Date/Location/Posts) does not work. Yes, doug, only you will be able to see it. New Surf Crew apps for iOS and Android are being published in the markets as we speak. They will be available probably in a couple weeks, and it will be easier to post stuff. But, I"l have to work on fixing the browser functionality too.
Micah, is the "surf crew" function the new age version of an SI member's "friends" on the former platform? I asked this on another tread but it either went unanswered or said tread got hijacked by one of an assortment of douchetrolles. Douchetrolles.
