Post some vids of you standing out on the sandbar at low tide during a cane swell. You've been out for every one right? Standing there with your sponge and all that ocean knowledge, just waiting for that one really big set to come through, right? Bet you're just ripping it up out there...

 

Dude, everybody at the beach knows how to swim. You are like the only person in merica who doesn't.

I had a cool roomie, way back when, I was like "dude, come surfing with me" and he's like: "I don't go to the beach, I don't know how to swim." End of conversation.

I was running on the beach about a month ago, and some little kids were playing in knee-deep water near a rip. It was ankle biters, but slammy with knock-down undertow. Sure enough, two little kids get sucked out in the rip. They're screaming and swimming directly against the rip, making no progress. In sprints daddy--at this point, they got sucked out to where it's shoulder deep on him--he keeps 'em afloat and works his way in. Happy ending, and I didn't even have to get wet.

This threaded made me think about that, except there's no big daddy to rescue Frost. Cause of death: Cardiac arrest due to water filling the airways. AD&D insurance, man, seriously. It will pay out for that, unlike drunk driving or drug OD.

If you are leaving, I don't need to say FOAD, because you are totally gonna.


What really sucks, is that the news is gonna say that a bodyboarder drowned, but really it was just a clueless touron who couldn't even swim. It's like if I got kicked in the head because I was smacking a horse while wearing a novelty foam 10-gallon hat, and they write that a cowboy died in a livestock accident.

 

Don't be such a pu$$y. You wouldn't have gotten such a mountain of sh!t if you took responsibility for your irresponsibility. I've dragged multiple people out of the ocean who would have otherwise died, including a lifeguard, so your moronic illogic won't fly with me. Every time you went in the ocean you were being a total a$$hole. Fu<k you. Do you know what it's like having a frantic drowning person climb you like a ladder while you're risking your own life to save them? Drop the ego kook, it's useless.

 

When I took my lifeguard course, we were told to smack them in the face to calm them down. LOL Seriously
