Wow....this thread went from a moron that doesn't swim to morons that cannot do anything right. What a bunch of f(ucking morons youz alls are..... hahahahahaha!!!
"Surfing" tropical swells while simultaneously staying in waist deep water isn't possible. If you have a plethora of knowledge on handling yourself in waist deep water, you actually have no water safety knowledge at all. None. You're delusional. Learn to swim, and until then stay out of the water. This sh!t isn't funny moron.
Shart Huffer, aka Hardcore Boogie Hoarder, you've been instructed to O.D. on Methane. What's the hold up?
While we're coming clean... I don't really smoke cigars. I have one in my profile pic because I wanted you guys to think I was cool. I never even lit it.... I'm sorry if I misled anyone.
Dang, Mr. Frost... You wake up today... Dum dee dum dum... It's a slow morning... Let's see... For some reason I feel compelled to share that I ain't learned how to swim yet... I had no IDEA what kind of sh** storm THAT was gonna start! Could be one of the fastest developing treads of, well, forever. Bravo, sir. Well done.
Are you implying that we should consider this malarky ^ an act of bravery? Not even close. Have you even considered the real watermen (and their families) who will have to put their own life on the line to fish you out when you do not do it "exactly right"? "To be a man is, precisely, to be responsible." Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Dude... I'm still LMAO. I've BIN there. Yer just stuck. Thump. Gurgle. Gasp. Recycle. Since I can swim, weren't skeered, just recycled.
Ok read the whole thread, Frost you need lessons. Equipment fails,Rogue Waves, Undertow, RIP Currents and of course the beat down. Breathing training helps but it's no guarantee. # 1 rule is wait until the drowning person is unconscious then save them.
Love the passion man but learn to swim! I'll even teach you as I'm out at folly quite often so shoot me a message. It'll make the ocean even more fun for ya. PEACE
When did I do that, spazz lips? Nice attempt at inciting a riot. You just couldn't get through the tread without calling out my name (in vain), you silly wabbit. Somewhere on the docks in Boston Harbor is a lonely sailor looking for those ISIS balaclava clad sausage sucking lips you got plastered around your pie hole. Go. Go & (again) make that sailor happy tonight, shart snooofer.
frosty is this the actual vid of you, shart snoofer & chucka-boo-boo attempting to rescue shart snooofer's momma from the shore pound...?!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNdUbAMY7-M
I tend to agree with Zagaff but either way watch at the 1:00 minute mark
The lack of swimming ability (as odd as that is in surfing) shouldn't keep you from engaging in other aquatic pastimes where swimming skills are unnecessary (Niagara Falls) :
Frost, 18 pages of crap advice, don't listen to any of it. What you need to do is go to a pool ONLY when water aerobics is going on. It causes a great cross current in the pool that will make it harder. The only stroke you need to learn is the side stroke. I swim 4 miles a week in a pool free style and it sucks for open water. Scissor kick side stroke will save your a$$.
Surfed with a few over here too, stand up and boog, most are pretty good. Access has a lot to do with it for sure.
