Had an opportunity to watch a family of humpbacks in the sea of cortez a few weeks ago, before they began their migration out and into the vast pacific. Needless to say it was a perspective altering and ultimately humbling experience. Absolutely remarkable creatures. Saw the young one play and breach from shore. These are off a boat:
