Come on down to swansboro. Youll be the only tourist before march. Plus we have 55 degree water and the surf is always about knee high until you get a hurricane. Few aquariums within an hour or so. Lots of bars. Lots of rednecks. Lots of chances to meet your boy braap before he ships out

 

I will be there. Unsure if will be able to paddle out to the lineup unless I can get this asthma under control better. But I will at least be able to hang around in the whitewater, feel the saltiness, let it flow through me like a tonic. I can't hold my breath long enough yet for a bigger wave, unless I am all better by Saturday. Live to surf another day...

 

Swansboro NC? My Dad used to live on the White Oak river...

i was gonna suggest the block, fairly close to ya...but march is a no go... not much going on, tho september is awsome...great food, good bars and great surf

I think the algorithms on this here surf predictin sit have gone down the crapper the last six months. Welommme back Micah! Lately swells have been either way under or kinda over predicted,winds have been way off, we got a week of chest to shoulder plus windchoppe/swell here that was reported flat line by yalll experts from Kansas (can you even swimme?). If it wasn't for the brain trust on this here forum, I'd be long gone, another abandonnner.

I got some good ideas from this thread and was gonna do OCMD, but had vehicle problems, as was posted in the other thread.

I didn't really wanna head north though. Aside from it being even colder up there, it's supposed to snow on Thursday and I didn't wanna take a trip up there for two days and have to worry about coming back in the snow. Supposed to snow here too, but at least I'm local.

I vow to take a nice trip at some point this Spring or Summer. Rincon, Costa, Barbados, Oahu. Would have been nice to get there now, with these cold as **** temps in the Northeast.
