    What up guys?

I’m making another board and I’m stuck on the fin design. It’s 17” wide 1’ from the nose, 23” at the widest point, 19” 1’ from tail.

You’ll also see a channel on the bottom. It’s 1/8” deep and goes about 2/3 the way up from the tail getting shallower as you go up to pretty flat in the nose. The channel is 10” wide throughout.

I’m having a hard time visualizing the fins and seeing if you have any suggestions. It seems to call for a twin which I like. I’m still nervous about putting in a quad. It’s got a Simmons-esque thickness and rocker. Gonna be right over 6’. The tail isn’t done yet but it’ll be a wide squash tail, I’ll get that on after the deck.

Still a lot of work but wanna get over this hump.

    That's a pretty wide board...
I'd do a twinzer fin setup, google it if you're not familiar.

Roberts is doing a Twonzer fin placement on a lot of his new boards and it looks awesome.
I think this board you have looks like a perfect specimen...

If that doesn't work you can always try the twingle too

Twinzer is appealing. Also thinking twin with a nubster in the back. The wide channel is whats keeping me away from a quad because I don't want fins in the channel. Twinzer would work for that too.

    It will have a deck.

I thought that was a given, I didn't explicitly specify that though. My bad.

I do have a coat of epoxy on everything now so I could call it a boat until I put the deck on.

I'd say quads or even 2+1... but personally wouldn't like a twin due to the extra weight of the board.... but that's just me

That’s what I was thinking it’s too long/heavy for a real twin setup...
