Good swell for Jersey. Smaller in Delmarva, but some tubes to be found.

Exactly! Great Day. Don't get me wrong. Some of the hurricane swells were fun but the windswells with offshore winds work out to be perfection in NJ. Today was a great day. Nice long barrels. Would be a great day anywhere in the world.

Great the fall is here to bring more consistent surf (windswell that works). Bring on Thursday and Friday for some more fun.

Very good stuff today. I think you'll be hard pressed to find anyone complaining about the conditions in NJ on this one!

I really wasn't expecting it to be so big. I was undergunned on my little 5'11 groveler, but it held it's own. Some of those waves looked magazine worthy today.

One could debate if today was a windswell. It was quite a fetch producing those waves

No way that was windswell. You're correct at the longer fetch. Do we ever get EC buoys at 11-13 from windswell?

You are right sir! I shouldn't use the term windswell so loosely. Medium period swell is what is was. The long period stuff doesn't suit the breaks in my neck of the woods. The 10-11 second period today is perfection. Yummy.

Yes, I did yesterday. Barrels put on a smile on this cranky old man's face. I've been surfing for a long time and barrels are the only thing that does it for me these days.

last night before dark was fun. like 3-4 foot and clean. lots of waves to be had.
i do kinda feel like my dog died because i missed the heavier stuff earlier in the day. i would have liked a nice barrel or two or three.
not like my favorite dog dying, but more like a dog that's an a-hole that eats shoes and poops on the floor and stuff.
that's all i have to share.

I think the general thought is 10s is kind of the dividing line, but it's probably subjective.

Technicalities aside a 9-10 sec period with a decent angle yields the best results in my neck of the woods by my observation anyway. It presents differently from spot to spot, but most spots handle that well. When the period climbs much beyond that, I find I need to choose my spots wisely, and put my big boy pants on and expect to take some beatings.

Buoy readings were at 10 sec pretty much all day yesterday by me. I drove a section of coast between my first and second sessions, and almost every spot I checked was working....some better than others, but really just varying degrees of fun.

A few spots in No Mo Co that have been near dormant for years were on fire yesterday... as perfect as I've ever seen them in my 20 years living here. Didn't have the size that southern county breaks had, but the kind of absolute perfection I've not seen before.

Have not had that much fun in a long time. Absolutely perfect day with beautiful weather and perfect waves.
LBI in the AM and No Mo Co in the afternoon. Chest-Head high all day and offshore. Easy barrels and long walls like I haven't had in a long time.

LBCrew - The board felt perfect. Thanks!!!
