This is where they were at last week when I surfed Phillips, south side of former pier. Sucks sweaty balls, no clue where I am going to go since they already ruined my fav local spots.

Sad to hear about Phillips- second person I hear that from... Haven't surfed there in a while. Really had some great memories from that spot in the years gone by. I think I might have surfed it once after sandy, idk...

Well your always welcome to come and surf Belmar! They got the Artifical Reef. I think they are in the process of changing the name of Ocean Ave from 16th to 18thaves to Reef Road.

I haven't surfed Belmar in years...surfed a lot in Spring Lake when I worked in Wall but now I am further north. I surfed Phillips yesterday...still the same (kook city), not ruined yet. Belmar has got to be getting pretty crowded now, no? That's the worst part about this replenishment, consolidates everyone to the remaining areas, as if NJ wasn't crowded enough.

On of the biggest ridable days in the past 20 years I've had around here was a DOH+ day at Phillips. Can't remember what hurricane it was, but it was totally maxed out and perfectly ridable. I, however, was undergunned, and got worked on a few I just couldn't keep up with. Made a bunch, though, that made that memory one I'll have for the rest of my life.
