Hoping to check out the area in March, cold but probably some swell. Water just as cold as Jersey in March? Anyone have anything to do while I'm there other than surf?

Water will be about 5 degrees colder than in Durty Jerz. Much bigger swell window and more powerful waves.
Winter pass times include drinking, smoking, and screwing.

I surprisingly have never been out east on this island i call home. Not to surf at least. But from what iv heard LIbro got it right. Bigger swell window. You'll be good in your normal jersey winter gear.

Other things to do. Montauk is the south fork. Like i said i hadn't been there. But the north fork is a cool place to check out. Lots of vineyards and wineries. There's a pretty cool but small brewery on shelter Island. There is greenport brewery. Some good restaurants. It'll be a tad of a drive but worth it if your into that sort of thing.

Always onshore, and Wok and Roll - the only place open for food - uses K9 meat.
