I'm moving from the NY area to near Orlando. Does anyone have any suggestions on breaks that are best? I'm looking for anywhere bet. St. Augustine and New Smyrna. Also, what's the wetsuit deal down there...do I still need mine...how thick and what months? Thanks.
i usually use a 4/3 from july to september than i switch to a 6 mil the rest of the year, and there are alot of good spots right in orlando, i like to surf behind dunkin donuts or go listen to me.
Forget neoprene. Try a shark bite resistant wire mesh suit if your planning on new Smyrna. Enjoy the warm weather brotha!
i personally would't use any suit aside from maybe december to march down there. thats just my preference. if the water is at least 65, and the air is warm i'm trunking. i used to go for swims in ormond back in december before during christmas as a child a couple years. it was ALWAYS still good for me when i would go for thanksgiving.
