^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yea bro but you gotta give credit to some of those metal musicians. I definitely can't play those arpeggios and sweeps and rippin solos like some of those guitarists. As well as some of those drummers doing blast beats, double bass drums and the like. Vocals- Some people are turned off by inaudible lyrics and all, but if you can get past that and appreciate the musical talent, thats good. But there is some crappy hardcore bands out there who don't have any originality and rip off other riffs and such.

Im a very musical guy, and I appreciate everything from deth metal to techno to classical ---- EXCEPT COUNTRY ---- that **** is boring as hell

It all depends on my mood...it could be Slightly Stoopid, Thievery Corp, or even Kava Kava...it all comes down to certain songs can place you in different mindsets. So let the ocean's motion select the song to sate your emotion.

TUI - United Blood Fest 2008 down in Richmond, place went off! That fest was by far one of my favorites.. Blacklisted, Have Heart, Crime In Stereo, Reign Supreme, TUI, Bracewar, Verse, Shipwreck...etc.

You can check out my last.fm for everything I listen to... http://www.last.fm/user/xmikeyedgex

BTW - No Warning = greatest band ever to exist. Will be at the reunion show (I am dreaming) no matter where it is.

Yeah, the whole Tri-State area has a huge scene. I've been going to shows since I think, 2002?

I have 2 epic head walks during Have Heart at United Blood... I'll find the videos and link them.

A lot of my friends wonder how I listen to the music I do and especially since I surf, because, like your original post, the surfing stereotypical music is that mellow, relaxing sound...tho I do like it, I prefer hardcore.

to be honest, its whatever is on the radio. that being said i love k-rock (92.3) and ktu (103.5, love that 90s dance **** haha).

i like pretty much everything, but what really gets me in a great mood is, in all seriousness, the beach boys and the beegees. it gets me in the summer spirit, no matter what season it is.
