God damn right there is! I grew up in the midst of it, played quite a few shows in Baltimore.

Been to some pretty intense shows, at least 3 Converge shows, some of the loudest music Ive ever heard, a Hatebreed show where somebody got stabbed and they stopped playing. The legendary SuperBowl Of Hardcore in 2000 and 2001 (some of you mighta been a little young for all that;)) Plenty of goodness.

Played in a band called The Full Catastrophe, that was fun. Play in a band now called Jean Mills Society Torch, more like thrash/hardcore/pizza/beer. Fastest band around-guaranteed. Baltimore bands like the defunct The Spark, and Paper Dragons.

    Good music scene-dirty murder city

Depends on the band. My take is that, Metal is mostly power cords which is not really hard to do even for an new guitarist...

Hardcore can get a little more technical with a lot of scales. Again not sure what type of hardcore/metal bands you listen to but the majority I hear are this way.

Hardcore the singer always screams and sometimes there is a back up clean vocal singer. Metal most of the time has a clearerish singer.

If you are talking Eternal Lord which is actually death metal the singer is going to be screaming and harder to hear. They also beat on their instruments more with more emphasis on Drums. The Metal rules still stand which is mostly power cords = two finger cords at most. Easy.

As for me, all I listen to is Metal and Hardcore.

You need to check out Dillinger Escape Plan. They rep Dirty Jers.

P.S. It is a shame Eternal Lords drummer quite a while back =

HH is one of my favorite bands ever. Been listening to them since 05'ish and have seen them numerous times... they just go off and it's so much ****ing fun seeing them...

They just released 2 albums within the past 2 years'ish... their lyrics are very influential and are a huge part of why they are so good..
