I always wanted to hook up a beach cruiser with one of those engines!! Never thought to add the surf racks- dude that's awesome would be a huge time saver around here in the summer with parking/traffic ect.... Specially when you don't want to surf the closest /easiest break but don't want to travel with traffic...

So, . . . ahhhh. . . how many dings do you have along the rails from when the bike falls over getting the board off?

nj42: You know our retarded laws in NJ. Pretty sure this would have to be registered as a moped (i looked into it once). Youd have to wear a helmet and put a license plate on it.

ah, too true, esp. in a tourist town during summer. :(

of course, it could be worth trying to get away w/ it under the old "act first, beg forgiveness later" maxim.

You'd be fine in the off season. But there's plenty of places to park then anyway...
But the rent-a-cops during the summer are all trying to get a perm position, so yeah, you're looking at max fines, plus Officer Junior will prob pull out a selfie stick so he can get a good photo of himself taking down a real menace to society.
