It looks like that N. Pacific is slowing down. Man, there was an awesome run of surf for February and the beginning of March. Looks like we are in transition phase now.
day by day (if i can remember right): weds 12th -- forecast said 1-3' overhead, green people. was really just too big, stormy, washing thru. not surfable thurs 13th pretty accurate fri 14th, undercall sat 15th, wayyyy undercall, best day of surf i was out there (report said knee to waist i think? pupukea was firing, peeling hollow a frames, headhigh + oh sets. and the people were blue, they def should have been green.) sun 16th, good waves, a little overcall mon 17th, overcall. suuuper inconsistent looong as hell intervals between waves. sets every 35-45 mins. most spots sucked, only haleiwa was breaking well, very few people even in the water. most places just closing out, swell was not hitting it well. tues 18th, way overcall. same thing as monday but a little smaller, and even less consistent. this swell was def coming in funky, not raelly working anywhere but haleiwa also your wind forecasts showed the wind 20-25 most everyday, was more like 10-15 everyday, occ 20mph gusts, but very rarely
i was thinking about it, and you dont have the 'N' direction only 'NW'. there are a lot of spots that pick up a north swell, like pupukeas, chuns that might be the reason for the inconsistency?
