Funny bc the dude who I used to train with, taught me everything I know, was a state cop. He loved that series and I can't tell ya how many times I'd train whilst irie. It really does enhance flow and for people who can't handle the claustrophobia it can help them stay calm.
That's funny (about the cop), but that's true, the calming effect can work in the water too. There have been times where I was being held down but being irie (not too much, just the right amount) I think helped me not panic and just go with it. I have been real comfortable at the bottom and then realizing, oh sh*t, you can go up for air now dummy, what are you doing just hanging out down here?
