spongers wrong...but sorry, there is no place for violence in the line up...period! he could of just as easy jumped in his sh*t verbally, and the sponger would of probably gotten the message, tho not sure on the actual circumstances.

When I first started surfing, I dropped in on a guy, really had no idea what i was doing, and the guy verbally jumped all over me, and afterwards, I learned...if the guy decided to throw punches, I probably would of thrown them back, knocking his ass out and would of really never learned my lesson other then thinking surfers are nothing but a bunch of a holes.

I know there is a pecking order out there in hawaii, but seriuosly, no need for that chit!

 

Gotta think Nate was full of adreniline anyway ,close to getting a serious injury from the drop in and then just went off on him cuz he lost his temper,who hasnt done similiar things before but so many cameras at Pipe record every wave and ride.ive seen people do this at every beach ive ever been to always something when waves are good and there is a crowded line up and Pipe is full of the biggest egos in the surfing world plus yu dont just paddle out at Pipe and start surfing . Da hui rule

 

This isn't Nam, Barry, there are rules. If you are in position closest to the peak, you get the wave. someone drops in on you.....

i lived on oahu for a while ,met some of the Pipe regulars who Invited me to the Pipe ,they said Jim well get yu in,i respectfully declined but thanked the boys for that honor ,Watched it one day they called it ten to twelve ft.how they could even make such a late take off and then your barrelled on way down ,**** i was scared lookin at it from beach, Pipe is Dangerous to all even the best riders have left blood in water there so a novice is a danger to everyone else .i cant believe some of the idiots that go out there and float around in the way ,dont even take off, but there is a pecking order if you dont want to respect the order yull have to pay the hard way.

 

Well, that is just "good manners". The "code" thing is what is a bunch of crap. Especially if it allows for "road rage" in the water. Then the law kicks in, like it or not.
