Its a ****ty wave. Not sure what all the hypes about; even Garett Mcnamara downplayed it when they tried to give him credit for the 100 foot wave.

In my opinion, its a Portuguese tourist attraction. You might hear tourists like yankee or seldom seen say things like "Oh look honey! They have the worlds largest wave on this point! Lets go see it!"

In my humble opinion, the wave doesn't bottom out. Its like riding a giant swell. yea its dangerous and all, but it doesn't hold a candle up to Jaws, which all the pros say hands down is the perfect wave.

Anyone mentioning Nazare in the future will be banned from swell info. **** nazare

Trainee, what are you talking about? It may be a tourist attraction but you wouldn't step foot on a board near that wave.

Nice stab at SS/yankee. I think you stuck it to them good. I'm still trying to figure out who you were before becoming the trainee.

You ban people now too? hahahahahahahahahaahAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

It doesn't stand up like Jaws does, but Its certainly far from a soft wave.
I think the bottom at Nazare, allows the wave to get bigger then other big wave spots.
Can you imagine a wave at 60 ft, breaking like Chopes?

I have no experience, of course, but Jaws seems like it might be the craziest big wave spot to surf.
    Agree?

Do not even want to be near 60' chops. No where near.
