they made a video on how they made it,think its on the surfermag site.pretty cool,imagine if waves were that consistant youd never be able to paddle out

 

but if you did you'd get about 6 months worth of surfing in one session. Kook to hero in a weekend.

 

Ohh Sunset Cliffs, how I miss thee.... Believe it or not, on some winter swells, its not all that different out there.

P.S. I told you guys not all SUPers are kooks. Those guys are getting along and all very skilled surfers. Respect.

 

But from a technical standpoint, you can see the blurred lines in which they chopped the film. Pretty simple technique. I've done it on a much simpler scale using Sony Vegas Pro. It's just a ***** cause to get it really accurate, you have to almost cut frame by frame.

That vid is pretty cool. You guys see when it looks like that dude duck diving goes under the SUPer and doesn't resurface? If you jacked those waves down x4 in height, that's basically what EC short period looks like. We don't like the paddle out but we get by.
