Recently had a firewire that broke and I am currently board-less. Anyone have boards for sale? Im looking for a thicker fuller small wave board. Like a quad fish or something. Please let me know!
Sarcasm? I just need a board. Ive been surfing for a little over a year and I'm not learning anything out of the water
How much do u weigh, how tall, what were u riding? If u r looking for help, help us understand before we offer info
Okay, I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs. I was riding a firewire potatonator 5'10 x 20 3/4 x 2 1/5 with 36.8 liters of volume.
got a 5'6" sweet potato with a set of future controllers might be a little to much volume for u though . pm for offer
How did you break your board? That's a pretty stout little board to be snapped. Are you sure you can't repair it?
I don't even know exactly when it broke. It was a 2ft day and my and my friends were out having fun. Next thing I know I look down and theres a huge crack across the bottom and around the rails. I either came down too heavy footed or hit the bottom. Sucks too cause the surf shop or firewire won't replace it.
You should look for a used Coil and see what you can come up with. I hear from those who own them they are nearly indestructible, although no board will last forever, these things take a beating like no other and perform at the highest level. I'm picking up a custom real soon, hopefully less than a month.
Are you a saleman for Coil? This reminds me of Matt's Hyperflex suggestions. The forum isn't the same without Matt. You guys could open up a surfshop and just sell Coils and Hyperflex wetsuits.
Not at all man, I'm just stoked about my new board i'm about to pickup and all I see lately is guys looking for boards because theirs break, and i've done tons of research on them and all i've seen is how long they last and don't get beat up like the poly boards. Just helping a brotha out with some useful knowlege. I have no idea about Matt and Hyperflex suggestions either... so chill. BTW, Mike Daniels and the Brasington Bros don't need my help selling their boards. They do just fine without me or anybody making suggestions on public forums. Their reputation speaks for itself and the hundreds of riders who have reported on them is what really sells them.
I know. I was just kidding around with you. Have you ridden one yet? I wouldn't give my recommendation until I've actually surfed on but that's just me.
All good, all I was saying is what others have told me about them who have ridden them, hundreds of rider reports and all of them say nothing but great things so Im sold on them and I have one on the way, I'm sure it will go just like the reports I've read from other paying customers.
Got a 5'9 WRV Nugget only used during the summer for small waves. paddles like a dream. PM me if your interested
if you want to read some rider reports go to the thread in the link below, there are people who own several and are always looking to sell a board to fund their next coil. I would start there, then if you want, you can email Mike Daniels to get a custom or he can tell you a shop you might get one from. http://www.swaylocks.com/forums/coil-ride-reports Email: mike@coilsurf.com
