I'm writing a book about surfing and need someone who knows the North Shore (Oahu) to help me with a few questions I have about the surf breaks there. I've visited the islands and done plenty of research already, but I just can't remember a few things. (Mostly regarding Chuns Reef, Lanis, and Ali'i/Haleiwa)

If anyone can help me PLEASE PLEASE email me at: look_bunnies@hotmail.com

    or answer my questions below:

Can you SEE the surfers at Chuns reef from the Kam Highway? If not could you describe where my character would go to watch them.

2.Are the waves at Lanis similar to Chuns? How do they differ?

    3. What type of riders surf at Lanis vs Chuns? (Long/Short) (Beginner/Expert)

    4. Is Ali'i the same break as Hawe'iwa?

    5. If not, where exactly is Hale'iwa, what is the wave like, and what type of riders surf it? Also is there a beach to watch from?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP. Please only reply if you know FOR SURE as I need this information to be accurate :)
