definitely check out animal collective's newest album merriweather post pavilion! also highly worth it: dirty projector's - bitte orca (my fav album of 09 so far!) phoenix grizzly bear (from ny, real mellow band) vampire weekend cut copy-more poppy/neo-disco if you dig an electronic sound, check out justice, they freakin rock. those should definitely hit your ear buds well. and definitely listen to what everyone else has been saying, specially about passion pit. good stuff!!
