Question for you guys:<br /><br />Had a local shaper make me a board. The board came out awesome, but I have a question about the leash plug: there is no metal bar in the hole. Any advice as to how I attach a leash?<br /><br />Thanks.

pictures help....is it a string-thru style? Like tie the rope in a knot and push it thru the bottom of your board? Kinda old school. Or the glasser just left the plastic cover on the plug from glassing and you just gotta pull that off.

given that i ride a lot of bonzers, this style of leash attachment is pretty familar to me. i will usually push the 2 ends through from the deck side. make sure to stick a pencil or something through the loop to keep it from just popping all the way through. learned that the hard way. tie a knot, trim the excess string, then work it back into the fin box & remove the pencil. viola!

When you put on a new leash rope be sure to measure it correctly so that rail protector on the leash lines up right. Otherwise your leash will cut through your new board.
