So I'm planning on getting 2 new boards over the summer and I wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations on boards

Right now I have a 5'9 JS monsta 3 that I surf most of the time and I also have a 5'7 sub scorcher

I'm 5'7 130lbs and am looking for a fun board with some volume on it to surf in the small summer days and then another one a little bigger then the 5'9 to surf once it's big in the late season and winter
    Thanks for any help

Length isn't the biggest factor in finding the correct board to suit you.

We don't know how you surf.

    You know how you surf.

Go to the surf shop and look at shapes. Then go to another shop and look at shapes. Decide what direction you want to go and then find the board type you want.

I looked at a bunch of used boards this past weekend and I can safely say the Lost boards do not hold up well.

I'm 5'6" 145 lbs, I've been surfing for about 7 years. These are the boards I ride

    5'6' Sharpeye Disco 24.0L
Floats me perfectly with a full suit on. Knee to chest high waves

    5'8" Channel Islands DFR 23.2L
Floats me perfectly with board shorts on. I use this board when it's good or when I travel. Waist high and up

5'10" Channel Islands Fred Rubble 26.1L
I use this board in the winter for when it's head to over head

Given your criteria...Go up a couple liters in volume on both boards over your standard shortboard.

One of the best groverlers I have ridden...is the fishcuit. Any design similar to this is ideal...wide tail, super thick, and super short and flat rocker....In knee to thigh I can maneuver this board just like a short board. Go as small as you can with whatever grovler you chose...the shortness is what makes you able to throw it around on a garbage wave...so go really short.

As far as a winter board...something in a round tail...maybe something similar to the lost driver.

Imo, Just go a couple liters bigger on both ends of the spectrum.
