new buoy 44097

    For the Eastern Long Island and Rhode Island area:

    You may have noticed Buoy 44017 went down a couple weeks ago. After investigating this, we found that Buoy 44097 just south east of Block Island went up sometime this year.

    So, for Eastern Long Island, and Rhode Island forecast pages, 44097 has been made the default buoy, and has been added to the Northeast Buoy Maps.
