wow... he has some of the most insane turns. I love the huge cut backs then he times turning back into the wave perfectly so he doesn't get caught in the whitewater. so much style..

WTF was that? what a freak show, holy crap. he can't surf the Tour anymore. it just wouldn't seem right. he needs to keep making vids for my entertainment until his knees crumble apart.
Yeah, that was a sick video, but believe it or not, that doesn't even showcase all his talent. A lot of those waves were just him stalling, lining up a line for an air section and then blasting off. He has way more style than that video even show cases, if you can believe that. I would like to see him kill it on tour. He has been off and on, and publicly talked about not really being into competitive surfing like that, but thats why his attitude belongs there. TO keep in balance all the guys that treat it like such a job. To be that guy that just surfs and isn't worried about all the scoring and the details... If he paid attention more to what scores, I think he would beat most guys out there.
that was the best contest webcast I saw in the last 5 yrs.waves were beyond epic and the rides were incredible.plus I like to watch a wave that's similar to home.dane was a wildcard in that event and made it to the final against slater,and he was riding a board he shaped
