New fish in the works

    Im getting stoked on this new one shaped by a local surf buddy and shaper. Its 5'5" x 21 x 2 5/8". Its getting Tyler Warren mod keels and supposed to be getting glassed the first of next week.

    Is that the case here? Have to say I haven't seen or a shape like this with parabolic stringers. I'm curious.

    Yeah I was pretty puzzled when I first saw them. A friend of mine in San Diego got a custom quad fish with similar rails and Scimitar fins, shaped by a guy named Schneider (I think). He loved it, until he ran it into one of those La Jolla reefs. Now he rides some hybrid one-off Bonzer that he swears by. Gotta love SoCal.

    just remembered i had a BAT (Brian A Tudor) that had a swallow tail with a split stringer.

    That was my first board! 6'4" and thin as a potato chip, rounded tail and a single stringer though. It's in my garage sitting in the corner collecting dust. I keep telling myself I'm gonna repair it one day but it's probably not worth the time, it's shot. Hasn't touched water in prob 18 years.

    Thanks guys. We're just going with clear on the color. Nice and clean. I'll be sure to put up some pics of it finished.

    like LBCrew said clean cut lap, you should also do a gloss coat with a tail patch
