    Hello everyone,

was wondering if you guys could give me a few tips on the best Jersey spots.
I just moved here from a different state and don't know much about the area.

    I appreciate it!

No one is gona give you any real spots because no one likes to surf around others. One spot that is well known and breaks good although crowded is the north jetty of manasquan inlet.

There is good spots everywhere. Take a ride to whatever beach is closest to you and check it out.

really depends on where you live. Mostly beach breaks, so if you go to the closes beach and look around you'll do fine

For all the scoop you gotta check with a rad dood named the njshredmachine; he'll get you 23' barrels going through pilings & he can personally train you too, as long as you believe in the bench-off.

Yeah, you'll be impressing the Hindus in bikinis in no time if you hang with him. Just remember, he's always got the fastest car on the block.

BTW, congrats on the move to Jerz. Some say it's the best state in the state. But to it's their own. To it's their own...

No one on here will really give up thier spot- specially on an open forum. The spots get crowded in the summer and its no one wants any more ppl... i guess everyone thinks we have world class secret reefs here are something... we dont... its all sand... beach break.

Drive around and look... check out google earth....

Here is a website that has alot of useful info:

i guess you kiddies missed that surfer mag article that says your spot isnt a surf spot, more actually a surf break.nj sucks.it sucks hard and hollow.best spot is asbury park.u can go to manasquan and blend in with the 1000 other kooks that float there.or u can go shred with sammy hammer down in bayhead or lavelette.ocean city rips too go hang out with pro surfer robert kelly, those dudes are super cool.they wont harsh your mellow like the gossip on here.cheers mate

i love how everyone thinks their spot is secret.we live in new jersey, the tri state area.this isnt so cal,its jerzzzey.we have beach breaks, and beach replishment.wonder why france and spain have such good surf.its only across the water.its because the acoe destroys the sandbars every year with beach replinishment.if your a true jersey surfer go write your local senator about the army core of engineers

you realize the NJ coast is 127 miles long, so you may want to narrow it down as to where you're coming from. That being said, your best bet is to check out Rockaway Beach, NY and the rest of Long Island. Much better surf there.

no one thinks their spot is secret here. everyone knows all the big name spots/breaks. but coming onto a public forum like this is the epitome of laziness & self-entitlement. work for your ****. yea, everyone knows where to go in the different towns that dot the nj coast, but that doesn't mean we should offer them up like tokens of gratitude to every transient wannabe who finds their way to our shores. if he's a skilled surfer, he'll be able to figure it out for himself. if he's not, then any closed out sandbar will do while he develops his skills.
