I agree with you as I have lived here my whole life but I was just wondering what was going through your head at the time when you were like: "I need to start a thread about how jersey rocks and delaware sucks! ...yeah."
ya i'm pretty bored at work. just some old fashioned trolling i guess. I believe every word of it though.
lol... me too but i just found out it's working right now. maybe leave work early and get a sesh in before dark huh?
i wish... gotta save my time off for my buddy's wedding at the end of the month. I'd have to leave trenton by 3 to get a sesh in anyway
i live in NJ and surf/sponge here, and I do have to say it's very promising, however I haven't been further south or out west so I can't agree with you that it kicks everyplace's ass
blowing up... an entire state? hey gaiz i heard of this sweet spot, its called the atlantic ocean. its pretty easy to get there, just keep driving east. once you hit the water, go in and voila! waves.
im not going to hate on jersey in front of a bunch of jersey boys, but "the best" is a little bold. I have scored up there for sure, but every time I go up there the water is poo poo brown and cold. Down here in va / nc we get the same swells, its warmer, and there aren't any damn new yorkers. BUT YOU DO HAVE A SWEET REALITY TV SHOW
I love surfing NC but surfing down the street at your home break when its good could get any better even if its cold and water is nasty. and the show sucks, its funny but people look at NJ in a totally different way
I don't have any problems with Dirty Jerz...but I just got back home from surfing in DE, I don't know how it was in Jersey, but there was some fun waves in my state today...I usually don't surf in my state though...hahaha
If you got home from work or school in time yesterday, and you surfed, you know why people who live here swear by it. Days like yesterday... when it all comes together just right...make for some memorable waves. Check page 19 of today's Star-Ledger.
i don't get why the water in jersey looks brown to some people. i don't think it looks any less cleanly than anywhere on delmarva or virginia beach. of course you got some ****hole spots like a few select atlantic city beaches here, and there.
i'm from NJ and have been surfing here for a while. on the E/NE swells, i take the trip to NY, and always get totally rewarded. a good day in NY is just as good as a good day in NJ. i'll take a NJ south swell over an NY noreaster, but others that have experienced both may disagree. nj love for life, but gotta tip the hat to NY as well. as for south africa, where i'm at now, haven't had much surf at all. pretty disappointing. just figured i'd throw that in there.
