Hey everyone, A week or so ago I bought a brand new Ryan Lovelace 5'10 piggyback. I unfortunately need to get rid of it without ever riding it. It's pretty much right off the rack and hasn't been touched other than the wax that I put on in the hopes of being able to get out this week. I bought it for $795+$60 for the glass Hobie TrueAmes keel fins I put on. I'm really bummed to let it go, but I need the $ back more than I need another board to sit in my basement. I'll take $795 and just give ya the fins. Pretty bummed on listing this. It looks like an amazing board and will scream in the right conditions.
whats that big white spot? looks like a patched ding where they didnt add tint to the resin if you payed 8hundo for that off the rack like that you got hosed
No, no. That's where Ryan signs it and puts the dim's. That's the way they tint it during glassing. It's totally cool that you're not into it and I totally understand it's a lot of money. It's not for everyone. Someone that knows his shapes could possibly appreciate it. He's pretty amazing.
That is the shapers "thing"man. He puts a big spot on the board in that same location. Different colors depending on the board. Does look like a huge poorly fixed ding in the photo.
thank you for clarification, still not paying 8hundo 2 dollars and a jawbreaker? 1 dollar and some envelopes?
That's a $450 dollar board with a $350 signature on it. Those socal shapers charge a fortune for their "brand." I just don't get it. FYI there is a guy named Roy on here who sells some pretty exotic stuff you should check out for your next board.
Ha, it's all good. I truly didn't expect anyone below the Mason-Dixon Line to even look at the post. Ha!
its better with firewires. just traded a dominator in after hard use for 2 years. got $400 for the trade-in.
It looks like he glassed the board and then afterwards went, "Crap, I forgot to sign it again!" So he put his stupid signature on there and did a terrible poly overlay.
Lovelace comes to NJ from Cali to shape a few times a year and the demand is high for his stuff, so the price he charges is also high. i've ridden a few and they are sick, his boards work. can't wait to get on my buddy's vbowls again soon. his sleds would be considered alternative, for sure. the resin jobs are also very abstract. to the poster - see if you can take it back to Glide (I assume you bought it there). maybe Phil will throw it back on the rack for you and possibly if it sells he will only take a few bucks for his work..worth a shot right? you are not going to sell it on here..people are just looking for deals for the most part..myself included ha.
