Well, I guess if I pull a muscle getting in or out of it I'll know if I'm a pussies or not. This is the test by which all men are measured.
Maybe youse guys just need to stretch first. I was curious, do you often need a 3/2 in your parts in FL? In other words, I would imagine this would be the heaviest suite you need and perhaps won't use it until December maybe through March/April? Looks like the average water temp is 72 January through April? I guess it depends on to what one is accustomed. BTW, happy anniversary... & and don't buy your wife a vacuum cleaner.
LOL I don't plan on wearing it until sometime in December probably, but never know, I have a feeling we're going to get an actual winter, by Florida standards of course. But yeah, I'll probably start wearing it on the cold fronts from Dec - March / April timeframe, alternating to the Spring Suite when water / air is warm enough to get away with it. I usually skin it as long as I can though. Wife is getting an addition to one of her tattoos. Her gift from me. In addition to some other things.
I have. 4/3 BG cheat zip for those freaking cold and windy January Feb days. Rarely need it, but it's nice when we get those freezing days. I get cold really easy, part of being old I guess...I Love the chest zip, and it's so stretchy that it's no big deal getting in and getting out. Wear it in good health DPSUP. Great gift
Thanks Betty! I used to own a 4/3 but I just roll with the 3/2 now and if we get a few days like you're talking about I have accessories to throw on to add to the warmth. A true surfer knows how to accessorize...
Thanks for the birthday wishes bruddahs And when I said I pulled a muscle, I was half joking. I didn't pull anything for real, but it was deffinitly difficult the first few times. Especially in a 5/4 after a freezing sesh and your muscles are all tight. I quickly learned you need to get one shoulder out first, then the elbow, then your good to get the other arm out. I hadn't worn a back zip in 4 or 5 years now. Chest zips are way more comfy
New wetsuites are like virgin vaginas, tight. After a few good bang sessions it's still snug but looser than before, not too much though, just enough for easier entry / exit.
Happy Anvrs DP. Had the hook-up with Rip Curl for a few years and they fell apart. Went to Xcels and thought they were the sh!t for years. Bought a 2/2 Hurley last year and was like OMG. Now I have a Hurley 3/3, 4/3, and long sleeve spring.
God I was so mad the first time I tried to get out of my chest zip Rip Curl. Agree with the other posters, though, that once you stretch it out a bit and get the technique down, it gets much easier. I'm in and out of my 3/2 now in about 5 minutes flat, and I only pull a muscle every 3rd session or so.
Just pulled the trigger on a oneill 5.5/4 psychotech...won't get in it until February, but can't wait...found it on cleanline for 409$...not bad for suite season
