As of 12:00pm on June 29, a new approach is being applied to the wind forecast data that is used on the surfplots (and also applied to text conditions forecasts). Originally this wind data was coming directly from the winds you see in the nearshore wind maps. The nearshore winds at times produce biases during certain situations, so we have applied a more advanced approach for the forecasted wind data. You'll likely notice a good difference. We are continuing to research and test this. Note: We are continually researching new approaches and ideas, and have several new forecasting tools and cool Swellinfo features that will be implemented in the coming weeks/months. Swellinfo Admin
