No, you don't need a gun, tomorrow. What, do you really need advice aboot what board to ride from dudes who don't know where to take off their wet suits? Or were you just changing the subject?

You have a Godson? Are you and your wife considering having children?

I can't leave the past behind - it's where I live. But I'm not all sore over it and sh!t.

Hey, we should meet up on the boardwalk some day, and kick it. What kind of drugs do you do? Hey, what do you think aboot the Atlantic City boardwalk?

This is PB&J at his finest. Not some novella about oral fixations. He's totally posting up njsurfer42 but you can see him doing it and saying these things like they're serious questions not meant to shake him up. I want more.

please don't ever leave your car running while you surf. We don't need the unnecessary air pollution that would generate. You might get out there and have so much fun, you'll want to stay out for 3 hours. When you get out of the water, just crank the heater.

not to mention the high probability of someone driving off w/ the car. can you imagine if someone tried that in AC? the thing would be gone before the guy got his first wave.

And don't leave your car running while you surf if you are anywhere near my break for I will steal your car sayeth the Chavez.
On topic: If you fruit loops are so worried about the wind then get your a$$es up at dawn Saturday. Winds below 5 mph in SNJ. Still a decent swell in the water.

Hey highvelocity, I think you're right that you should leave your truck running while you surf. By the way, what break will you be at and at exactly what time? Thanks, breh!

Thread titled about surfing Long Island, cool this should be interesting.

Makes it to 3 pages before the Jersey brahs start talking about their Jersey beefs and breaks.

Not trying to be hard but I wore a 4/3 5m boot gloves hood and was fine in 42 degree water. . I'm actually pumped for the cold because I can try my new 6/5 tommorow which I think I will be fine in. I just hope I can paddle and that the damn offshores don't hold me on the lip too long. Any advice for getting into waves earlier on really offshore days ?

    Simple ~> WaveJet.

Why do you need the 6/5? If the 4/3 kept you purdy in the cold you're clearly harder than the rest. You're asking about getting into waves in strong winds yet you're about to double the rubber? Confucius say wtf?!

Go to Cape May tomorrow if you're going early. Maybe.....then again maybe not......

Hard offshores, man.......what can you do? There's something to be said for blind, late take-offs.......

Hard Offshores - don't try and get in early. Gotta spin around and take off late.......

Confucius says: Wind hold you up until wave ready to break......

Yeah, that something to be said for blind, steep takeoffs is "woahhllyyyy schittttt!!!!!"

I say it half a sesh sometimes. Could be the whole sesh mañana.

"Ya brah, I'll take the Gnarl Benedict with a side of fish tacos. Grilled. And three slices for Gruvi here. He likes pizza. Thanks breh!"

u guys do realize hard winds make epic waves, right?

also offshore days are the days we pray for.that means barrels, onshore means crappy chop mushburgers.when the winds hard offshore, make sure to take a few more paddles after the wave picks u up.when u pop right up after 3 strokes, youll most likely come down with the lip.

as far as boards well u could probly get away with whatever u want.guys paddle 20ft pipe on a 5'9 like johnj and Kelly, but hey most of us aren't on their level.

east swells are actually really good condition for jersey.that means the waves break in relativlly calm waters and u can paddle out without getting your hair wet.south swells are the ones that bring plenty of strong rips,100yards of whitewater where u paddle and paddle but still get nowhere.i don't remember what kind of swell doomsday was,but it was breaking like 6-7ft at my spot with very little current.it was a day to remember.tomorrow looks epic.i drove past the beach earlier after work, victory at sea, miles of whitewater.should be churning up some good sandbars for tomorrow afternoon.i don't think im going to surf tho, might be a tough one.saturday for me and the 100 other kids who were afraid to paddle out tomorro

Ride a smaller board. Less surface area for the wind to hold up. Heard Slater giving tips specific to hard offshore days and they've all worked for me.

All you East Coast guys would laugh at a winter dawn patrol in San Diego. 40* air, 58-60* water, and dudes in hooded suits, boots and gloves
